Tips for Success
Scoring & Domains
Support Levels (A–E) System
The A-E system describes the level of support a pupil requires (not their academic attainment). This standardized approach ensures every adult has the same clear starting point when discussing and planning support needs. Higher levels indicate more support is needed, not less ability.
The Eight Domains
Each domain assesses a different aspect of a pupil's support needs, providing a comprehensive picture of their requirements across all areas of school life. This holistic approach ensures no aspect of need is overlooked.
How scoring works: Higher support needs count more in the calculations. Unanswered questions are automatically ignored to ensure accurate results based on available information.
